This is a list of things that I want to accomplish in 1001 days. I’ll update my progress periodically. Two ** mean that I am in progress on that task. Some things will be a work in progress until the end. Why don’t join me? Let me know if you do and leave a link so I can cheer you on!
My start date is April 25, 2007. The ending date is January 20, 2010
1. Read the entire Bible (from Genesis to maps as my former Pastor would say) **
2. Buy a bicycle just for me
3. Get my weight down to 140
4. Pay off all unsecured debt
5. Avoid using a credit card **
6. Buy journals for each of my children and write letters and memories in it periodically **
7. Catch up on my scrapbooks
8. Put all of my digital pictures on cd’s
9. Have selected pictures (see #9) printed
10. Take the family on a camping trip – with a tent
11. Sew Avery a dress
12. Sew all of my children Christmas pajamas
13. Finish painting all of the trimwork and doors in the house **
14. Paint master bedroom
15. Paint master bathroom
16. Paint Avery’s room
17. Take a trip with just my Mom and Memi
18. Crochet a granny square quilt
19. Teach Avery to cross stitch
20. Write a love letter to Charlie
21. Stay caught up on laundry for 2 whole weeks
22. Make flower beds around the house **
23. Keep an indoor plant alive
24. Teach Austin and Avery to sew – maybe a pillow
25. Learn how to make a sampler quilt
26. Avoid going out to eat for an entire month
27. Drink just water for a week
28. Go a week without talking on the phone to friends
29. Go a week without the computer
30. Go a month without TV – include the kids on this one!
31. Go on a relaxing trip with a friend, with the kids, during the week
32. Have (at least) one date night/day with Charlie every month
33. Clean out the attic
34. Make (and post) a book list (like, this week)
35. Read all the books on my list
36. Start a prayer and gratitude journal
37. Write 3 poems
38. Learn to french braid
39. Do a cartwheel (No- I’ve never done one!)
40. Do some sort of Charity Walk
41. Take the kids to walk/hike at Kennesaw Mountain
42. Invite 3 families to dinner (at different times) I’m so bad about not doing this!
43. Make a Cheese Cake
44. Learn to use the grill
45. Take the kids to see a show at the Fox Theatre
46. Take the kids to a high school football game
47. Try to contact my long-lost cousin
48. Go to a Third Day concert
49. Hang curtains in each room
50. Paint the kitchen table and chairs
51. Do the Greenleaf Press – Old Testament Study
52. Take the kids on a nature walk every week for a month
53. Try to get something done for Charlie – can’t actually type it…he might read it!
54. Frame some of the kids artwork for the hallway and playroom
55. Play in the rain with the kids
56. Do a surprise date for Charlie
57. Make up a chore list (for me and the kids) an implement it for a solid 2 weeks **
58. Make up a 4-week rotating menu and shopping list
59. Learn how to make salsa
60. Grow a raised salad garden
61. Be consistant at spending the paycheck on paper first for an entire month
62. Make a recipe and tip book and have family and friends add to it
63. Open Aaron and Avery a CD account
64. Save and maintain $1000 for baby step one **
65. Plan a Girls Night Out with my old friends
66. Have a Family Day where we do things like potato sack races, bob for apples, ect.
67. Play flashlight tag with the kids
68. Catch lightening bugs with the kids
69. Take a CPR class
70. Volunteer at a soup kitchen or pregnancy resource center
71. Go to the junk/antique shops in my town
72. Make something with a real pumpkin (instead of canned)
73. Potty train Aaron (because it really might take this long!!)
74. Get a perm (or have it “textured” as they say now)
75. Go to the Trivia Night at the coffee shop in town
76. Learn Charlie’s new fancy, shmancy way of doing the checkbook register (I didn’t actually complete this. I converted him back to my way of doing it.)
77. Suffer through – I mean watch a whole Braves game
78. Send Austin to the Wilds’
79. Do a Little House on the Praire type weekend with the kids
80. Go to Six Flags
81. Have the cabinets in the playroom moved to the laundry room
82. Go to a Tractor Pull
83. Go to a Rodeo
84. Take Austin and Avery in a canoe
85. Go tubing down a river
86. Finish painting kitchen
87. Make a wreath for the front door
88. Hang outdoor Christmas lights for the kids
89. Buy a new address book
90. Learn how to take good pictures
91. Have a family portrait done
92. Take my Mother-In-Law and Sisters-In-Laws to lunch or dinner
93. Buy a new Betty Crocker or Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook
94. Pay for the car behind me at a fast food restaraunt
95. Go hear Dave Ramsey speak
96. Toilet paper Amy’s yard (HA! Kidding – but it *would* be a blast!)
96. Buy a dresser for Avery and paint it real pretty ;o)
97. Learn to speak Pig Latin
98. Make a read-aloud wish list for the kids and I
99. Memorize the order of the books of the Bible
100. Make a computer password/website master list
101. Buy a bedspread for my bed
